Homemade Chili

Homemade Chili

Ingredients -

3 lbs lean hamburger; 3 cups onions, chopped; 3 cups green peppers, chopped; 2 cans stewed tomatoes; 5 tsp chili powder; 2 1/2 tsp salt; 1/2 to 1 tsp black pepper; 1 tsp garlic powder; 2 40-oz. cans dark red kidney beans; 1 can tomato paste. Directions -

Brown hamburger in skillet, remove the grease and place in a crock pot. Cook onions and green peppers in vegetable oil. Cook till tender and brown and add to cooked hamburger. Add tomatoes, paste and spices. Cook on low-medium heat for about 45 minutes. Add kidney beans with juice from cans.

Simmer at least another 30 minutes, or until you are ready to eat.
