A simple homemade pizza dough recipe that will kick up pizza night!

Yields4 Servings
Prep Time10 minsCook Time1 hr 10 minsTotal Time1 hr 20 mins
Ingredients
 4 cups Bread Flour
 1 tsp sugar
1 package of instant dry yeast
 2 tsp kosher salt
 1 ¾ cups water (hot)
 2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp olive oil (save for later)
Directions
1

Combine the bread flour, sugar, yeast packet, and kosher salt in the mixing bowl. While mixing, add the hot water and 2 tbsp of Olive Oil to the mixture. Beat well until the dough forms into a ball.

2

Scrape the ball of dough onto a lightly floured surface, and gently knead into a smooth firm ball.

3

Add the remaining 2 tsp of Olive Oil to coat the bottom/sides of a clean bowl. Add the dough into that bowl and cover it with a towel. Leave in a warm area to rise for at least 1 hour.

4

Turn the ball of dough back onto a lightly floured surface and divide it into 2 equal parts (for the 2 pizza crusts). Cover each separately with a clean kitchen towel and let rest for another 10 minutes.

5

Roll the dough out into the desired size and thickness for your pizza (14" is recommended). Be sure to poke some holes in the dough with a fork to prevent the dough from bubbling while it cooks. Add your favorite toppings and pizza sauce and bake!
