With all the great Pubs, like The Three Tuns, and fish and chips on every corner some people might put BBQ to the back of their minds while in England. Well, I am not most people. During my 2017 trip to London for work, finding a place to get some authentic BBQ was a pretty high priority after a few days. I was in luck when I came across Bodean’s BBQ!

Bodean’s BBQ has 7 different locations around London, each producing great Kansas City style BBQ!
The BBQ
The real question, is how does the BBQ stack up. Time Out Magazine called these the “Best ribs this side of the Atlantic”. A few friends who had moved to the UK for work had told me that this was the only place they go for BBQ. My expectations were sky high!
At Bodean’s I decided to order a Kansas City staple, the Brisket sandwich, topped with cheese and onion rings. At Joe’s KC BBQ, this is known as a Z-Man, and is one of my all-time favorite sandwiches. While it is extremely difficult to live up to those standards, Bodean’s took the challenge head-on. This was some awesome brisket, and their french fries were a nice mix of the British and American styles. I was also a big fan of their Honey Chipotle BBQ sauce, and made sure to get plenty of that with my meal!
All in all, this was a great addition to my trip to London. Getting some Kansas City BBQ all the way in England was a great way to connect back to home.
