Yields1 Serving
Prep Time10 minsCook Time45 minsTotal Time55 mins
Ingredients
2 28oz cans of San Marzano tomatoes (whole)
 4 tbsp olive oil
 ½ cup minced onions
 1.50 tsp dried oregano
 2 tsp dried basil
 6 cloves of garlic (pressed)
 4 tsp sugar
 4 tsp salt (to taste)
 ¾ cup fresh parsley
1 tsp crushed red peppers (to taste)
Directions
1

Pour tomatoes into a bowl, and break them down. You can use hand shears or an immersion blender until they are a "chunky" consistency.

2

In a saucepan, heat oil, onions, oregano, basil, and crushed red pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes stirring frequently. Add garlic and continue to stir for another minute.

3

Add the tomatoes (from step 1), sugar, salt, and parsley into the pot. Let the sauce reach a simmer, then lower to a medium low heat. It should simmer for atleast 30 minutes to let the flavors get happy!

4

You can use the sauce immediately, like on some homemade pizza crust or, you can let the sauce cool, and keep in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.
