Of Jungle Cruise fame, Trader Sam is the legendary “head” salesman who offers you a hard-to-pass-up deal—2 of his heads for 1 of yours. Don’t worry, though! You’ll get an equally great deal—without losing your head—at both locations; Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar in Disneyland and at Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto in Disney World.

Located at the Polynesian Resort on Bay Lake, near the Magic Kingdom, Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto features great food, drinks, and views to enjoy. With indoor and outdoor seating and drink service, you are able to enjoy all the things that make Trader Sam’s unique, especially the Disney exclusive tiki mugs only available at this location.
When at the Grog Grotto, you will probably have to wait for a table, as the inside is very small. The alternative is to go to the outdoor patio bar, where you are able to get a drink and then are able to walk around the rest of the resort!
My personal favorite beverage is the HippopataMai-Tai which can come in this fun souvenir mug! I am a big fan of the collectable mugs, especially the Halloween and Christmas themed mugs that are very limited in nature!
Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar
Disneyland – Anaheim, CA
Located at the Disneyland Hotel, right by the iconic pool, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar offers you the original tiki spirit. The first Tiki Bar on Disney property, Imagineers took all of the items you love from The Jungle Cruise and turned it into a unique bar-going experience!
With awesome drinks, tasty food, and an awesome experience with fun twists around every corner, Trader Sam’s is a must do! Be sure to check out the artwork on the walls for fun nods to the attraction and other fun surprises. While visiting, be sure to order the Shipwreck Nachos which is a combination of Kālua-style pulled pork, fresh pineapple salsa, hoisin sauce, Togarashi aïoli, and barbecue sauce served on a bed of chips. These BBQ Pork Nachos are the real deal and worth trying as you enjoy a unique tiki-style beverage!
On select evenings at sundown, on the torch-lit terrace adjoining Trader Sam’s and Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill, you will find quite the entertainment. There, you’ll hear the soothing harmonies of a live acoustic duo as they serenade you under the stars, adding another element of enchantment!
