Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom
One of my favorite things to do at the Magic Kingdom is the totally FREE card game, The Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom! This game is card and screen based, and is located all over the Magic Kingdom park in Walt Disney World! To get started with the game, stop by the Firehouse on Main Street of the Magic Kingdom. Here, a cast member will teach you how to play the game, give you some cards to get started, and tell you where to go for your first mission!
The gameplay will have you scan your Magic Band at the assigned location to watch a video with Merlin explaining what is happening. At the right time, you will show a card to the screen and defeat the villain! Little kids and adults alike can play the game together, so be sure to keep this in mind on your next trip to the Magic Kingdom!
You are also able to play for a little while and come back any time to continue the mission! This means if you go to the Magic Kingdom park twice during your trip, remember your cards and magic band to pick up right where you left off! If you did forget your cards (or want some more) then the cast members at the Firehouse will help you out!
There are a lot of different cards, and for collectors, it can be difficult to keep track of these, so below is the official list of the standard cards that are available in a pack as well as the special event cards that you’ll have to find online or get lucky in a trade with someone!

Maven’s Tip: At the fire station on Main Street the cast members have a book with extra cards that you can trade for! As long as the card you are offering isn’t already in the book, they will swap out any of their cards with you!
NOTE: In January of 2021, this game was halted at the Magic Kingdom. We all hope this game will return at some point in the future. In the meantime, if you collect the cards and are looking for a trade, be sure to reach out on instagram at @thedisneymaven!
