Disney’s Mobile Ordering

Mobile food and beverage ordering at Disney Parks is a snap, allowing guests to plan ahead, save time by not waiting in line, and make the most out of their visit to the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. As I mentioned in my tip on navigating lines at Disney, using mobile ordering is a great way to speed up the food ordering process!

How to use Mobile Ordering

To mobile order while in Disney World or Disneyland, you will use your Disney Park app from your phone.  Each specific parks app will allow you to order from select locations.  This list might change between now and your next trip, so be sure to double check at the Quick Service restaurant you want to eat at to see if they are participating!

Once you have selected the restaurant you are going to, you will need to get to the specifics of how to Mobile Order.  There are 3 steps to the process.

  1. Use the app to place your food order at any point in time
  2. When you are outside of the restaurant, click the “I’m Here” button on the app to alert the kitchen to start preparing your meal
  3. Go to the specified window for pick up, and they will call your name out when your order is ready!

Give it a shot!

It might sound a bit intimidating to order from your menu, but I found it super easy to use.  When I was starting to get hungry, I opened the app from line and placed my order.  As soon as I got off the ride I pulled back up the app, and as I was walking to the restaurant, hit the button to start cooking.  Then, as I walked into the restaurant, my food was ready!  This allowed me to go straight to a table and eat, wasting no time in my day!

I made a mistake in my order!

If you have any issues with your order, talk to the cast member!  Just like with any other food experience, Disney wants to see things fixed!  You might have forgot to include an item in an order, or might have forgot to say hold the cheese.  Disney will work with you and help make sure you get the items that your family needs!

At Disneyland in October of 2018, I made the mistake of ordering from a restaurant in Disney’s California Adventure, while I was at Disneyland park.  While using the app, I ordered the food and paid for it before I realized my mistake.  I did not have a park hopper ticket, so I was in a bind, and did not want my $18 to go to waste!  I went to the counter of a similar restaurant and explained my mistake, and they were able to help me out!  Always talk to a cast member if you make a mistake, and someone will be able to fix things!
