How to find Convention Tickets at Disney

If you are planning a trip to Disney, getting tickets to the parks is a big part of the planning. Whether you do this yourself, or with the help of a travel agent, figuring out the right tickets can be challenging. With Park Hopper, the number of days, waterparks, and more, there is a lot to keep track of.

Add one more item to the list, but this is a sort of secret hack. Guests who visit Orlando for a conference are often given access to a portal to purchase theme park tickets at a discount. These tickets are for the guest of the conference and also the guests of the attendees. These tickets also include an option to arrive after 4pm, if you are attending the conference and want to visit the parks after.

The hack, or secret, is that you can find these ticket sites on Google, and take advantage of these discounted options for your own trips if the dates align! To do this, search for a conference on Google for the times you will be in Orlando. If you find a convention, you can click through their information for a direct link. You can also search for MyDisneyGroup + Date/Year to find the direct link. The MyDisneyGroup page is the portal for group tickets and will only be active when the convention allows ticket purchases. If the convention is not active, your landing page will look a little different.

Be sure to read the fine print on these tickets, and I would recommend not doing this while staying on property. Often times the discounts of those rates will probably be better. I have managed to take advantage of this once while in Anaheim for work. At my hotel was a convention that offered a discounted ticket. I saw the flier the week before, and bought tickets for myself using their link!
