How to Book an Aulani Lu’au

When visiting Hawaii and the Aulani resort, a Lu’au is a must for most people! At Aulani, a few nights each week they have a Lu’au on property.  This Lu’au will give you food, drinks, and a show all while never having to leave the comfort of your resort!  A sample menu can be found here, though it is subject to change!

There are two types of tickets for the Lu’au, reserved and general seating.  The reserved seating option will get you a closer seat to the stage, and allow you to be seated first.  It does come with a slight up charge, so if those things are not important to you, the general seating tickets work great!

Attending the Lu’Au is not cheap, but a three hour experience with a meal, drinks, and a show, it is worth it!  General seating tickets will run $170 Adults/$99 children (ages 3 through 9). There is no charge for children under 3.  The reserved seating will add $20 to each ticket.  Once you book your reservation, they will email you the tickets for the event.  It is not able to be linked to the Aulani app, unfortunately.

What happens if it rains?

Unfortunately, the weather in Hawaii does not always have to be perfect.  On our trip in May 2022, unfortunately, the night of our Lu’au had thunderstorms.  This meant, no Lu’au.  In the event of a cancellation, the resort will send a text message, call your room, and put signs up in the lobby to make sure everyone knows of the change.  They try to hold off on cancellation as long as possible to ensure they do not cancel erroneously.  They will still hold the Lu’au if at all possible, and that does include a possible light shower.
